Gabrielle and Troy | Intimate Rocky Mountain Wedding in Twin Lakes

Gabi reached out to me with quite an exciting task– her boyfriend was coming home from training camp and she had an engagement AND wedding to plan. I was totally up for the task since I just love any type of scenario that sounds straight out of a movie. Troy was set to come home the last week of October and they were already planning on an engagement, he just didn’t have the ring yet. They ended up choosing the Saturday after Troy got home as their wedding date and Gabi had about a week to pull this beautiful microwedding together!

First, their engagement session was a total dream (scroll to the bottom for those gorgeous photos). Gabi and Troy got engaged the SAME day we did their engagement session. I took easily 2000 photos because these two are just so fun to be around. We went to Mount Falcon West which is one of my favorite portrait locations. We got to explore a little and it was a gorgeous, crisp fall night. These two were totally down for all my shenanigans and trying some new poses– and I think it turned out amazing! After this session, I was super excited for their wedding only 3 days away!

I was so excited to pull up to Gabi and Troy’s wedding day at Wolf Den in Twin Lakes Colorado. I have never had the chance to go to Twin Lakes and it was absolutely stunning! Wolf Den is a beautiful Airbnb set on the hillside surrounding the lakes and it was perfect for their intimate wedding of just family and a couple friends. It was so fun to be a part of this day because these two, and their wonderful families, are just so relaxed and joyful. Gabi and Troy were looking forward to their marriage and just so excited to start their lives together. The ceremony was incredible even though it was set on a fishing beach– you would have never known. We had incredible panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, there wasn’t a location I DIDN’T want to try. Luckily these two were down for anything as we went to two locations and continued to capture some really epic views. After finishing up, we got to go back to Wolf Den and the newlyweds had a champagne toast and an intimate (and delicious) dinner with their family. It was truly a gorgeous day full of love and laughter. It was an honor to do this day with such a wonderful couple!
